You must complete the certification process outlined below. This helps ensure the safety of our youth missionaries. This process usually takes 30 minutes and qualifies you to be a Mission Youth Apostle in Philadelphia! Plus, you will be certified for work in any church or volunteer opportunity for three years and renewal of the certification is a simpler process. Thank you! You will be asked about this in your interview.

Step 2: Secure Archdiocese of Philadelphia Required Clearances and Background Checks
NOTE: Due to the processing timeframes of the required checks, please aim to submit all applications at least 4 weeks prior to the start of the missions.
As a volunteer working within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia who may have any possible contact with children you must complete certain background checks and clearances.
